Tiara 3300 Forward berth cushion - vancouveralanna - 05-22-2024
[attachment=1403]Hi We have a 1991 Tiara 3300 Open and I see that there is an extendable leaf that comes out from underneath the forward berth. It looks like it is meant to pull out to make the bunk wider for sleeping and there could be a removeable cushion to put on top of that “leaf”. Does anyonr have any insight on if this extendable leaf is meant to widen the bunk? I don’t have a cushion to put on it but considering getting one made so the bunk fits two adults sleeping more comfortably!

Yes,
I believe that is to extend the sleeping area. Mine came with a cut memory foam piece that fit on that leaf perfectly. You could also try Portland Mattress Makers. They make custom mattresses for boats.

Yes, I am looking at one right now and there was a cushion that layed up against the V on the starbard side and it fit perfectly into that space. Look around the boat abnd maybe you will find it? The one on the 88 I'm looking at is blue.
BIGGER QUESTI(ON is how do you make that bed comfortable for two people? I laid down in it and I don't even think its a double bed. We've bee married awhile and like to have space toi turn over - we'd be positively cramped even with that slide out.
Has anyone made that bed bigger or more hospotable for two? Thanks! Its the one thing stopping me form buying it.
