2000 3500 Express Converting Interior Lights To LED - JMGCINCY2023 - 02-21-2025
I've tried using the Search function but it never works. I would like to convert our interior and cockpit lights to LED's. Does anyone have experience or options doing this? I suspect others have done this. Brands, Part Numbers, any info would be appreciated.

Agree with above, interior lights you can just swap the bulbs and leave the fixtures alone. MarineBeam is a good outfit but I just bought my bulbs off Amazon. Cheap and easy to do, but pay attention to the color temperature. I like the warm white much better than the bright white or daylight colors.
Cockpit lights you will likely have to swap out the fixtures, lots available, make sure they're at least as big as what they're replacing so they cover the holes already there.

The LEDs depend on the type of bulbs that you have. I would stay with warm white (2700-3000 K) light color, and watch the wattage. Brighter color 4000-6,000 K) looks terrible if you have finished interior woods. It completely changes the wood color.
You can get LEDs for exterior fixtures including the festoon type. Suggest contacting Superbrightleds.com and review what you have with them. They're great to work with in matching and suggestions. You can also return them and try something else if it doesn't look right.
