Adding Helm AC - DLydey - 07-29-2025
I am interested in adding helm ac to my ‘03 3800 Open. The ac vent fan is teasing me but is just not enough. Being on the Great Lakes, we can see pretty hot weather along with needing the heat to extend the shoulders of the season. Curious if anyone has done this to theirs. Questions: What was the size you installed? Did you add a pump or just upsize the original? Was the size big enough to cool the cockpit? Did you do 115 or 230vac? Where was it installed and where were the vents located? What would you do differently?
