2001 3500 tiera exspress - Bucky - 05-19-2026
Good day all, I'm new to the forum and new to Tiera Yatchs. Boating most of my life, last 12 years have been Trawlers. I'm finding a lot of things confusing on this boat. Ill start with one thing at a time.
I fill my 120 gal fresh water tank by the end of the day it's empty. Fwd bildge is pumping clean fresh water out. I can not find the leak or see where it's coming from.
Any and all suggestions would be helpful

Sounds like you have a leak in your freshwater tank! Typically, Tiara used welded aluminum tanks for freshwater, and they can pit to the point they develop holes over 20+ years in service. They aren't typically installed in a way that makes them easy to replace, although I am not familiar with the location of the tank in the 3500. I know in the 3800, the teak & holly sole needs to be cut in order to replace the freshwater tank. Fill the tank with the hose and listen around the boat for a tank that is getting filled with water.
There is a small chance there is just a leak at the pump fitting and it's siphoning the contents of the tank down, but this is not likely.

Thank you for the quick reply. Apparently the 3500 & 3800 are very similar in the fresh water system.
The deck the tanks sit on is dry. The hole area is dry but the bildge. The pumps aren't leaking either. I'm going to try installing a crossover valve in-between the two tanks to isolate the leaking tank.
Its woth a shot!

OK, sounds like the 3500 has 2 tanks, not 1. I did not know that. Checking the crossover connection would be a good first step!
