The spring in the door handle to the bathroom seems to be broken or unhooked, on my 2003 4000express,
.
How do you take the handle off of the door?

Your boat should have Mobella McCoy hardware. If so one of the handles will have a set screw. Remove the handle and then the other handle will slide out along with the center stem. You will need to replace the locking engine (inner assembly). Should be able to easily find them online. I believe they sell a double spring version which keeps the weight of the handle from wearing down as single spring.
