Replacing the head on a Tiara 3100 — do RV toilets make sense? - joshuaseward - 11-02-2026 I have a 1990 Tiara 3100 Open and the old manual head in the compartment is getting tired. The pump handle sticks and the seals are due again. I keep coming across RV toilet options while reading around online, and I found this page: Best RV Toilets of 2026. I am trying to figure out whether these are worth considering for a boat or if they are a completely different animal. My concern is the plumbing and holding tank setup. I do not want to open a can of worms with a toilet that will not fit the existing lines or will not handle the way we use the boat on weekend trips out of Charleston. I have no experience with RV-style units, so I am not sure what to compare. Has anyone here swapped an old manual head for something like this, or is it better to stay with a marine unit? Any input from people who have done the job would be appreciated. RE: Replacing the head on a Tiara 3100 — do RV toilets make sense? - hiccup - 11-02-2026 More AI spam. Great. |
