Bought a 2003 4400 Sovran
#1
Hi folks,

After owning a 1990 3600 Open for four years, just bought a 4400 Sovran, which is currently in my home port of Fall River, MA.
Hoping to take the boat south for the winter and anxiously following the various hurricanes around especially Irma.
Initial objective is New Bern, NC, then maybe further south.
The boat seems huge compared to the Open (about double the displacement) but she rides well.
Excited to be escaping another New England winter Smile

Just curious how you like this boat and what kind of efficiency you are seeing with it?  I am looking at a 4400 Sovran with the QSM 11 engines and cant seem to find any efficiency data.

Here is data from my 2006 4400 with those engines

I also recently purchased a 2006 Sovran 4400 with QSM 11's.
What props are you running? Mine are 30x40 and won't make more than 2050 RPMs.

I have a 2003 44 Sovran with newly rebuilt C-12s. Take it from Jacksonville Fla to Portland Maine and back every year. Just made the return trip in October. Name of boat is Andiamo. One of the gas springs that help open and keep the engine room door failed. It does not have any markings so I can’t order new one. Anyone have any idea about locating a replacement or the number of lbs it needs to hold. Door is heavy fiberglass. Thanks.

Your best bet is to contact Tiara, I deal with Andrew Kosten,  Tiara consumer help department  and he is very good , his email is akosten@tiarayachts.com I am sure he will be able to help you out . Be sure to have your boat ID  ( hull) number so he can look up your specific model .

Cheers

Donnie
