I have a 2004, 2900 open with 5.7 crusaders I noticed a sheen in water from my port engine exhaust. checked oil level and was low. I assume my oil cooler is leaking into exhaust. Has anyone replaced these and can offer any guidance. Much appreciated
I replaced the Crusader 'U cooler' on a 1997 454XLi. Very straight forward replacement. Buy the new part first and replace the old with the new. Be careful not to cross thread the hose connections. Bob
HEY thanks for your reply but theses are not the ucoolers. they are dual coolers located under engine. the port side is against the stringer. No idea how to get to it. anyone replace them. the starboard cooler is accesible but not the port.....
There are very hard to get at you may have to remove other things but it can be done. But you are making alot of assumptions. I would remove all the coolers and pressure test them before replacing.
Hi I just had the same issue 3100 open. I purchased a new cooler. Drained and replaced trans fluid 6x. Now I have a new issue. Boat shifts perfect until it warms up them shaft doesn’t spin. If I turn engine off for 20-30 secs, it works again for a couple mins.
