I have a 89’ 3600 Convertible. The outside light above the sliding door to the salon had a cracked cover and the bulb was missing. When I went to replace it there was no voltage (multimeter). I turned on every 12 volt circuit and switch I could find but still no voltage. A few slips down another boat same model/year older has the same problem. Any suggestions?
I can't speak to that specific boat, but on my 86' 36 Open the light on the radar arch wasn't working. I traced it back to the ground wire being broken / had become disconnected.

Thanks for the response. I don't have the ability to trace the wire, it goes into the salon roof. I will try checking continuity of ground with the electrical panel ground?
Thats more or less how I tracked it down. I tested the hot on one end with the neutral bas bar on the other with a volt meter, that was good. Reversed it with the neutral bas bar on the hot behind the panel, and it was dead. Traced the ground and found it it had become disconnected.
