The horn is the next switch over, voltage will drop to 4-6 volts if I honk it. Is there a common ground for the row of switches? Would it just be corrosion on a grownd connection? Why does the hatch not drop voltage when raised, but does when going down? I tried swapping the switch, that didn't change anything. Replaced the hatch motor as well, that didn't change anything.

Hey group I'm looking for some help sourcing an original replacement or a suitable alternative.

1997 Tiara 40 mid cabin express cruiser with the inverter option.

Main panel A/C section has a 3 pole 4 position selector switch made by AMP Tech LLC Tiara Part#3291230
The selector switch options are
1) 120v Shore
2) 240v Shore
3) Generator
4) Inverter

Tiara no longer carries the part and I have not had any success reaching the original manufacturer for a suitable replacement.
The selector switch is a rotary switch mounted on a circuit board with 15 wires connected to it. I have traced and labeled all the wires but am unsure how I might be able to successfully connect everything to a cam style rotary switch. I have found something on Grainger.com but am concerned it may not accept all the needed connections.

Thanks for any assistance!

Hi everyone, I’m looking for help on a power issue, thanks for any insight.
I just purchased a 1997 4000 express (Mid Cabin Express) and brought it from NC to FL. Along the way shore power stopped working after a night at a dock with no circuit breaker on the power pedestal. I’m also getting an ‘over power’ indicator on the inverter panel. The boat is equipped with a Trace engineering inverter which looks to be original factory install. Any idea if there’s a breaker between the power in to the boat and the backside of the panel board located inside the cabin?

I have verified power at the pedestal at the new home port. I’ve turned everything I can find off and allowed for power to discharge. I’ve reset the inverter and it no longer displays the ‘over power’ warning. But I still have no 240v power available on the circuits.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Having issues with my generator. Was shutting down after around 5 minutes and blowing 8 amp fuse on control box. Changed all fueil and oil filters and engine oil. Replaced oil pressure sensor and still no improvement.
Last attempt however, ended with grinding sound, then sparks from the back end. My guess from internet research is the bearing went and messed up the armature inside. Would anyone with knowledge agree?

can anyone explain the how the battery isolators on a 2900 open work?. Under the stairway I have two isolators, assume one for each engine. They all seem to be cabled together. The alternator on the starboard side isnt outputing a charge, per the analog gauge. I Had the altenator tested and it is good, When both engines are running it seems at least one alternator is chargng both battery banks. can one of the isolators go bad? if this sounds confusing it is because I am confused. Any help would be appreciated
