q trim tabs - alfredo - 04-10-2017 I own a 2013 Sovran 39 having a lot of trouble with the trim tabs any suggestions to replace them with lenco trim tabs or do you think that I got some defective one from Volvo it was replace once and I need to replace another at these time RE: q trim tabs - Maxwell - 04-11-2017 It may help if you're more specific about the trouble that you're having. We had these on the 2008 39 Sovran that we had previously. I really wasn't happy with them as it seemed the boat always had a little bit of a port high list underway (even with the dinghy motor on the port side and 0 rudder angle) that they couldn't correct. Max RE: q trim tabs - jriebe - 05-03-2017 i have those tabs on a 3500 Sovran. was having problems with them responding--sometimes working and then they'd not respond. i replaced the 'brain' 5 years ago and everything has been fine. what i call the brain is screw in the bilge far back on the transom on my vessel. i traced the wiring from either side at the actual interceptor through hull places. the wires lead back to a central black connection manifold where each side interceptor plugs in and the controls from the helm route back and also plug in. i order a new one and replaced the old. plugged everything back in and it works the tabs do tend to under compensate for leveling. i can't really put the bow down at slower planing speeds and with even crew/guests and wrong wind i have to max it out to maintain level. RE: q trim tabs - alfredo - 05-23-2017 thank for the info |
