Second Tiara. Most recent 1985 Tiara 2700 - ncolsen - 10-22-2018 1985 Tiara 2700 with two 260hp MerCruisers.  Has anyone repaired or replaced the cutoff switch or lever? My engines are cutting out.  Please help if you can add a repair or replacement ideas.  Thanks. When you shift from Forward to Reverse (or vice versa) this cutoff switch turns the engine off for a micro second to allow a smooth shift without stripping them. Most recent 1985 Tiara 2700 - Robert.l.morris - 09-17-2020 I had this problem on my 1984 2700. In my case it was a sticky lower shift cable. After I replaced the cable I had no more problems.
