1985 Tiara 2700 with two 260hp MerCruisers.  Has anyone repaired or replaced the cutoff switch or lever? My engines are cutting out.  Please help if you can add a repair or replacement ideas.  Thanks.

Give us more information about what you call a cut out switch or lever. This is a term I never heard before.

This cutoff switch is unique to an I/O. When you shift from Forward to Reverse (or vice versa) this cutoff switch turns the engine off for a micro second to allow a smooth shift without stripping them. I need help on how to adjustment or determine they are beyond repair.

I had this problem on my 1984 2700. In my case it was a sticky lower shift cable. After I replaced the cable I had no more problems.
