Outdrive cover - bottom painiting - brijeski@optonline.net - 04-22-2020 [attachment=590][attachment=590]Hi - I've stripped my hull of all the bottom paint but came across a cover for the outdrives (both metal and fiberglass as shown in the picture). Does anyone know what's under it and if I should remove and clean before repainting the hull? I don't want to open a can of worms but want to make sure I do the right thing. If so, there's a sealant on the edge & what's used there as well. Appreciate any advise - thank you! John RE: Outdrive cover - bottom painiting - Sans Peur - 04-22-2020 I would remove them and paint everything in there. Just because it is covered doesn't mean nothing will grow in there. I will bet if you use a light and look in you will.see older paint in there. Outdrive cover - bottom painiting - Misdirection - 04-23-2020 And I think those are your prop shafts, not out drives, just so you know the correct terminology. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk |
