water tank leak - tedemerick - 07-08-2014 I have a 1991 tiara express with a water tank leak. I cannot see where the leak is but it stops at about the 30 gallon level. the tank is an 80 gallon tank. does anyone have a solution. I was considering cutting offront of the tank and fitting a new plastic tank inside the aluminum tank. then put straps to hold the new tank. any ideas would be welcome. water tank leak - Uhehner - 07-08-2014 I assume the tank is draining into the bilge. Try closing off the vent hose with a clamp, then check the gasket on the fill and close it. Next I would put air pressure in the empty tank via the drain hose and listen for an air leak. Maybe some recent worker drilled into it or ran a screw into it. Capt. George |
