We have a 36 Convertible 1988 with new 8.1 Crusader gas engines. The performance has greatly improved over the old 454's. Easy starts, smooth idle, higher top end (in the low 30's) and much better fuel economy. Probably burns 1/3 less than the 454's and cruises at 23-24. Most everything else is original and still works. Our previous boat was a 31 Tiara Open 1988. Capt. George
