Unemployment drops to 5.4 percent in April

The U.S. economy created 223,000 jobs in April as the unemployment rate fell to 5.4 percent, the lowest rate since May 2008. Job gains occurred in professional and business services, health care and construction, the U.S. Department of Labor reported today.
