I have a 1998 3100 open and while cleaning this weekend my wife inadvertently locked the door to the head then closed it from the outside. I do not see any way to access the head compartment to unlock the door. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I would try using a sharp knife blade against the top of the plunger and sliding it in. Then push or pull on the door to hold the plunger in place and take another bite. Repeat until it opens.
You did not say if the door swings in or out. If it swings out a credit card may work against the plunger. Capt. George
I tried to force a thin flexible steak knife, then a small screwdriver between the plunger (bolt) and the receiving hole but the space was too tight to fit anything between them. I think my next attempt will be at the hinge pins?
Thank you for your consideration.
If you want to widen the space put two wide putty knives in the slot and then jam a flat blade screwdriver between them. That way you do not mar the wood. Then back to the sharp knife trick. Capt. George
