THis boat is new to me and was in some rough seas over labr day and the middle windshield was leaking as if a hose was pouring water in at the top where it is hinged . Anyone have similar problems. The amount of water coming in was very disturbing. I had all I could do to pay attention to sea condition and navigation and then I had to worry about water leaking all over the helm, electronics, cabin door. This boat is very wet in a side sea. Disappointed in the lack of dryness. Boat handled well in the rough sea but major water hits the windshield.

Nothing worse than a swampy dash . Yesterday I ran my 4000 exp to winter storage in R. I . from fairhaven . 20 knt wind with 3 to 5' s on the port side all the way down. Yes this was a wet run . I must say I did not take anyamount into the helm area . Some but not bad considering running 16 kts into the wind and waves . I would look at the gasket and such . Something may be off somehow ? I hate wet rides ! good luck and stay dry .

Agreed.... There is a lot of water that hits the windshield on my 2002 38 open....very distracting...appears that the water comes from above the windshield. I just put out a towel an cleanup with fresh water back at the dock...boat is solid!!!

The Tiara 3800 Open is actually a very dry boat for an express. Certain sea conditions and wind are going to put water on the windshield no matter how good the hull design is. The other thing that can affect how much water ends up on the windshield is vessel trim and speed.

That aside, if water is pouring in from the top of the windshield opening section, there is an issue with the alignment or the gasket. Take a good look at the opening section when it is closed. Is it crooked and not flush all the way around? If that is all good, open the windshield and check the gasket. Make sure it's not pinched, pulled free, broken or missing.
