I would suggest only using Volvo oil and filters.

I second the position that you should stick with OEM oil and fuel filters. IMHO you should be good with non OEM air and oil pan breather filters.

As for oil, the manual itself specifies the different options based on ambient temperatures. ANY 15W-40 oil is good for most locations.
