I have had conversation with the man who regularly waxes my boat about ceramic coating. Everything I have looked at online about the ceramic process is positive, providing the work is done properly. My guy, however, is reluctant to do or recommend. Has anyone in the squadron had experience with ceramic coating and can provide some commentary?
I did Carpro Cquartz on my truck and wife’s car not the boat yet. The product lasts a very long time, about 1.5 years in Michigan with the road salt and truck not garage kept. The problem has been the water beading is almost to good and leaves water spots after each rain or wash unless it is dried afterwards. They do make washes for it that help the water spots. I do worry a little about using on the boat as it does scratch so I might purchase a microfiber wash “brush”.
I still will be coating my Tiara this winter as I do believe that I will get a full season of protection then just add another layer next year. The prep is the hard part.
