Greetings,

I am looking for a replacement gasket for the cabin hatch entry on my 29 Coronet. It is a 1/4" round foam with a white cover, but I don't see anything like it at any of the marine stores. Any suggestions?

That sort of weather seal is sold by the foot. eBay, Amazon and your local auto-body supply store are good places to look.

While as far as the foam goes they’re pretty much all the same the adhesive strip can vary widely in quality. I only purchase the seals that have 3M adhesive!

Thank you. I have been concerned about the self adhesive as much of the weather seal products sold at say Home Depot don't really adhere all that well.

When you go cheap you end up paying more. I own a boat myself and I make a living fixing boats. I absolutely hate having to come back for a re-do. Wasted time, effort and materials!

Sometimes owners provide their own materials. I refuse to use theirs if it’s not up to my standards.

I just wanted to follow up for anyone in the future that finds this thread. I discovered that the gaskets have a T-slot so they're aren't held in by adhesive (at least not exclusively. I sent an email to Tiara support & received the following:

The gasket you are looking for is part number 5423310. This gasket is no longer available and there is no known replacement. I would suggest a large foam gasket company or changing the gasket out to something completely different than the current product.

In the meantime, I'm using some self adhesive stuff from Home Depot until I can find something better. I will try to remember to update this thread for reference.
