I'm surprised at the price you quoted as I have 6CTA Cummins in my 38 Open and changed the air filters several times over the 11 years I've owned the boat for approx $160.00 for both. I use AirSep air filters but not sure what your engines require....M2C
QSM filters are a little pricey if I remember correctly but $575 each sounds high. Good bet they are airsep elements and if so, are washable. Walker engineering sells a kit for cleaning and oiling the filter. K&N also makes a filtercharger kit that will work well. Spray on cleaner, wash with hose, let dry and spray on oil. If elements are too far gone get dimensions and check online. Seaboard marine should have filter elements at a decent cost for qsm11
thank you both for your help, i asked my cummins tech and the one on seaboard marine for $375 he doesnt believe will work, just cant believe they are so much, lol.....
I would Call Seaboard or drop Tony Athens an email through their contact page. He has a tremendous reputation in the world of Cummins mechanics. I suspect either way they will give you a straight answer.
