Can someone tell me the location of the autopilot compass on our 2005 Sovran. I have looked throughout the boat and have not had any success. I contacted Tiara and was told “the auto pilot is not listed as standard or optional equipment therefore they would not have any information on file as to compass location”

Not sure where its located on your boat but on my 2003 Open w/SIMRAD autopilot (AP21/AP22) the compass which is a heading rate compass is located in the bilge, mid ship in the cabin under the dinette floor. As its a flux gate compass its needs to be away from most if not all electronic devices that may have a magnet as well as metal such as pots/pans.. M2C
