i noticed on one of my prop shaft ZINC it was quite a bit lower down (closer to prop) than my other one was? is this a problem? should they be the same?? is it as easy as putting them in the same place on each shaft and tightening them? do they need to be balanced? thank you guys...

I wouldn’t sweat it. In terms of “balancing” they’re not going to make that big a difference. You just want to be sure the one closest to the strut is at least a hand width away to ensure adequate water flow to the cutlass bearing.
