I have a 03 42' Open with Cat C12 715 Hp S/R # HP00236/237
Has anybody else with these engines experience High Crank Case pressures "Blow By" , if so i might be able to tell you what to check for , these engines have had connection Rod Pin and bumper issues in this vintage . I am in the middle of rebuilding my engine now that had excessive "Blow By" with only 1200 Hr's of run time . Hopefully everyone has had no issues , but Stuff happens . There were several indicators in my case that were evident before i removed the head and pistons to verify the problem . If anyone is interested in what to check for just contact me . Not to worry anybody but rather catch it before a Total rebuild would be needed ,and parts are hard to get.
