I am looking at a 1978 Tiara Sport Salon to purchase.  The owner is the second and has had it for several years.  It is in great shape, trailer kept and appears to have many additional bells and whistles added to allow for weekend or longer excursions.  It is on its second engine with a few hundred hours.

I would like to know if anyone in the forum has experience with this boat and if so please share your experience and stories.

This will be my first boat and experience pulling one.  It has a double axle trailer with electric over hydraulic breaks.  About 6500# gross weight.  Probably can pull this on a 1/2 ton pick up or an 8 cylinder SUV?  Definitely get a vehicle with a towing package?  Thanks for your consideration.
