The air horn on my 2004 Sovran 3600 as failed . All I hear is clicking from I am guessing a solenoid on the air compressor. I am thinking of replacing the air horn with an electric horn. How difficult is it going to be to run a wire from the hardtop to the helm console?

I had a similar problem on my 2003 38 Open and found what I thought was a solenoid noise wasn't.. On my boat the air compressor is located behind the helm station and the noise was the result of the horns themselves which allowed the compressor make that kind'a noise... Replaced the diaphragms located under the 2 covers on the air horns themselves and problem solved

Thank you for the suggestion to check the diaphragms on the horns. As soon as I can figure out how to get to the horns on my hardtop! I’m
