I’m sure it’s been covered so I apologize in advance, I couldn’t find anything. I have an older model, ‘88. What do folks recommend for updating nav lights? Any particular brand or model?

Sealed LEDs. Find some that have a similar footprint to the ones on your boat, make sure they are big enough to cover the holes and small enough to fit any mounting pad they fit in.

I upgraded all of mine to LEDS from Marinebeam.com.
Love them and very bright.
They have red and green LEDS that go behind the color lenses and look great!
White ones for the top and stern look great as well.
