Deck Plate replacement
#1
I have a 2000 29 Open. I have purchased new deck plates and need information on how to get the current deck plate outer rings out without damaging my boat. The rings appear to be glued in place. I removed the screws but would like to hear from someone who has already replaced theirs before I go any further.

Take the screws out, then the rings will lift out. They are tight but the adhesive was either silicone or similar and not hard to clean up.

Just like CJ said. Be sure to rebed the new ones with a quality caulk to prevent water from dripping onto the tank.
