Tiara Open 3500 Open
#1
New  Owner of 3500 Open with 7.4 XLI/Velvet Drives. Looking forward to next summer and some ice to start to thaw. So far we have cleaned inside and out and top to bottom.  Next task within the next two weeks is seat removal for upholstery. Samples arrived today. Time permitting name removal and upgraded radio prior to launch. Systems have been gone through and going to start fresh with fluids and general maintenance items.  Only non operational repair would be the sending units for the fuel tanks. May add the Garmin fuel flow units while addressing that issue. Our boating runs will rarely exceed 2 hours one way (LI Area). Wanted the diesels  but the price just was not justified for how much we will be using it. There is a peace of mind knowing I can make all repairs in the event there is an issue.
So far enjoying the Tiara Brand and quality.

Congratulations on your purchase.. Know you will enjoy the 35 Open... Previously I owned a 31 Open w/7.4 XL Crusaders and now I own a 38 Open w/Cummins diesels.... Both preform extremely well... The 31 was well suited w/Gas engines while the 38 requires diesels, weight, beam, etc .... I also live and boat on Long Island, specifically Long Island Sound.  We, my wife and I,  travel quite a bit and have been doing so for more then 30 years, the last 20 in the Tiara's... Good Luck.  Have performance info for the 31 and the 38 if interested.....

38 Open has always caught my eye , great lines. I did decide that if I went with a 3500 Open / Hardtop / Diesels that I would come off some more "coin" and get the 38 as the prices were close enough to make the jump. Found a good local boat that was taken care of and pulled the trigger. As the kids get older and my cruising time gets longer there will be the need to move up. Block would be the furthest we would run at this time and we are docked in the Peconic.  Most runs are to Greenport/Sag/Montauk and points between.  Between that and the Whaler the summer calendar fills up fast!

We travel extensively from Boston, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard to Lake Champlain/Montreal and south to the Chesapeake but find Montauk, Greenport, & Sag Harbor great as well... Where are you docked in the Peconics??? may see you sometime out east....

Moose Lodge on the Peconic River. The spots we like are an hour dock to dock. The kids love Greenport so much that they know their way around like its our 2nd home. Have you stayed there for the Maritime Festival? That is our last HURAH for the summer boating. Weather is hit or miss but always proves to be fun.

We go to Greenport at least once per year for several days. Great place. Assume you stay in town at Michell's Marina. May see you there this coming summer.
