Trying to figure out how to assess why Hatch will not open. I changed the fuse at the helm and also the switch to go up and down. (Both purchased at West Marine)
Batteries are good. What are options to open when there is a problem with hatch?

The small seat your referencing HAS to be removed prior to activating the switch to lift the hatch... There is a "push button" switch below removable small seat that allows the lift switch to work. It's a safety to ensure you remove the small seat prior to trying to lift the hatch.. Switch may have failed....
I can not say enough on thanks for the replies. I usually have the seat out of the lounge arrangement most of the time checking engines, generator, etc. I never knew there was a sensor stoping the helm from rising if the seat was in place. I knew the seat had to be out to open to have clearance but did not know it would not open if the seat was in. One of those embarrassing moments. I called Tiara yesterday and they mentioned it may have a sensor but they were not 100% sure on my year 2001 model 3100 Open. I later called the new Tiara dealer in the Annapolis area "North Point" and they confirmed there was probably a sensor so when I checked yesterday and read get the response from the group the problem has been resolve. I will keep the new fuse in and switch.
Thanks again,
