I've used Racors for gas engines before but not specifically on MPI's. Should be a relatively simple install. You will need the fuel delivery flow rate to select the proper filter. Racor website has a selector tool that will provide the correct part/model number.
Are you referring to the 'hockey puck' primary filter? My 1997 7.4 TBI engines had Racor branded filters after the hockey puck filters. Maybe the MPI's are different? Bob

Hi Bob,
Yes, the puck looking filter. On mine, they are between the fuel tank and the pump. There is a small pleated paper filter after the pump.
Just seems like a lot of fittings etc. In a tight spot. I would love to replace all that with an appropriate racor located in a convenient location for maintenance.
