Looking for a 4000 express for sale. Cummins engines, hard top, mid berth, teak interior

Welcome to the club! We just bought the same boat back in August and love it!

I too started looking for ones with Cummins and most of them seem to be in FL or MI. Not sure where you are.

In the end, I almost let the one we got get away (w Cats) and love her. The motors are strong and were very well cared for. I tell you all of that as while the higher HP 3208’s get a bad rap in some circles, I really think care and maintenance end up being more important. Not like an abused Cummins is going to do better than a meticulously cared for Cat.

Thanks you are correct engine maintenance is the key no matter what make of engine. We would consider a boat with well cared for cats. We're in Fl. and looking from the Great Lakes and the Ozarks as well as Fl. We will stay on the hunt. Glad to know you like the 4000 express. We feel it will be the perfect boat for us as well.
