Check out the cable. I believe the old cable will work on the new remote

I believe the old cable will work on the new remoteI've gone this route as well, you need an adaptor, but the problem is , you can not get a read out of the titles tracks, playlist etc at the helm. The on/off button works, the volume up/down etc works but the read out does not. This is why I ran the new cable.
