Now I am dropping a cord from behind the TV, but I that access will be harder once I get my bedroom TV installed.
Also, the PO said there was an outlet under the helm seat and then brushed off the question. I suspect you have to pull the icemaker to get to it.
I have the same boat. I had the telephone plug taken out and replaced with a 110v outlet. Works great.

I have a new-to-me 2003 3800 Open and will be removing the phone jack and replacing with an outlet as well. There is an outlet in the space where the original TV goes, so I will tap into power there.
The outlet in the helm station is behind the ice maker as you suspect, and is fed from the ice maker breaker. PO on my boat installed a short extension cord to get power from that outlet to the cabinet under the helm seat.

I found a GFCI receptacle high up under the starboard gunnel inside the long opening locker in the cockpit. Still wanting another one on starboard side of salon.
