Has anyone replaced the seals on the tip out window on a 3100 open. I was replacing the seals and the window popped out of the hinge track. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get it back in?
"Never remove the center windshield. If it pops out they will have a heck of a time getting it back in. The deck was fitted to the hull causing the deck and windshield frame to twist a bit. If you remove the center window it will spring back to its original shape making it almost impossible to replace the center window. Never remove the center sash/window if at all possible. We have seen technicians fight for 3 days to replace the center sash/window.
FYI If you run the L-shaped gasket all the way up to the hinge, it may prevent the center sash from closing all the way. Some sashes have the clearance and some don’t. Just something to watch for. I have been told when replacing the gaskets it’s impossible to get all the way to the top with the sash installed but some installers are more tenacious than others."
We were successful getting the window back in with the help of ratchet straps. Light pressure with the straps and lifting up you hit the sweat spot and it pops back in.
