Hi, I just purchased a 1989 Tiara 33' Open with Yanmar Diesel's. I am excited to finally have my first Tiara. The boat is older, but in great shape and just needs a little love in the interior, which we will surely give. The engines were new in 2016 and are strong. Just thrilled to have a Tiara and looking forward to boating on the LI Sound with the ability for overnight trips to Block, Montauk, and other cool locations. Does anyone have upgrade ideas? Looking to install a fold down transom seat for the kids when underway, boat needs a generator, she needs new electronics. Not sure where to begin, but excited for the journey. Looking forward to connecting with other Tiara owners and to learn more about this awesome boat brand!!

Congrats on the 3300! I have an '88 3300 with Crusaders.
I have been over every inch of mine so feel free to reach out with questions.
Great boat, built well!
Enjoy!

Good job finding a 33 with diesel power! Wish I could find one.
Those Yanmars are good engines but require proper care. Keep after the zincs, clean the aftercooler and heat exchanger and use only Yanmars coolant, along with regular oil changes and you'll be fine.
If it were me and the dated electronics still function, I would look around for a 5 kw generator if you have the room.
These are great boats, good luck.

Hi, thanks for the well wishes! I am getting a custom made mattress to replace the one in the boat. Do you have any suggestions on proper bedding for that model?
I had one made for my 3300 two years ago by Portland Mattress Makers and love it. They have a few options available. They sent me a kit to mark out all the dimensions. They did a great job, it's comfortable and it fit perfectly.
I did what a lot of people have done--cut a standard memory foam mattress to fit. I used a 'Bob-o-pedic' and it is amazingly comfortable. Not too hard of a project and cost was about $1k as opposed to ~$4k quote I got to get a custom one made. Good luck w/the new boat!
