Hey guys. I was replacing the stereo amp in my '04 3200 Open. I noticed the galvanic isolator remote monitor was unplugged. I plugged it in and it started beeping/showed a failure on the galvanic isolator...never even knew it was a problem until then. That beeping was annoying, no wonder the previous owner unplugged it. I'm not really sure its even a problem, as the previous owner may have just overridden/replaced the monitored system with a failsafe GI? Have to dive in and get into it more.
Read up a little on it, troubleshooting mainly involved R&R of the isolator itself. Where does Tiara usually put them? I see the monitor in the compartment with the amp below the breaker switches, but didn't see the isolator itself. May have been in there, or maybe its closer to the incoming shore power in the engine room (starboard side rear)? Anyone know offhand where I should start looking for it?
Well dove into it pretty deep over the weekend ... None to be found. Did Tiara install in in the AC distribution box? ie the only place I couldn't access routinely? That's the box between the engines above the mid sump, and the battery isolator and charger controller is mounted to ...
On my 06 there located on the inner wall of the transom. I had the same issue with the constant beeping but after tightening all the green ground wires on the monitors box above the amp it fixed it.
