HAVE A WET HULL, I DID BUT NOT ANYMORE!!
MY JOURNEY STARTED WITH A SALES CONTRACT AND UPON THE BUYER'S SURVEYOR REPORTING HIGH LEVELS OF MOISTURE IN THE HULL, THE BUYER WALKED.
SO I COMMISSIONED A SURVEYOR TO DO A COMPLETE MOISTURE SURVEY OF MY 38' PURSUIT OPEN EXPRESS AND FOUND THAT THE STARBOARD HULL WAS NEAR COMPLETELY WET BOW TO STERN AND A SMALL PORTION OF THE RIGHT REAR STERN. I WAS REFERRED TO A PARTY THAT HAD A SYSTEM THAT SUCKED THE MOISTURE OUT OF THE HULL WHICH TOOK SEVERAL MONTHS. AND I HAD TO TAKE THE BOAT TO HIM. FORTUNATELY HE WAS BACKLOGGED FOR 16 MONTHS.
YOU MAY WONDER WHY I FELT FORTUNATE, WELL I FOUND "DRYBOAT" AND TALKED THINGS OVER WITH THE OWNER, SCOTT RICHMOND. HIS METHOD AND SYSTEM EVAPORATES THE MOISTURE WITH HEAT AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS. AND DRYBOAT BRINGS THE EQUIPMENT TO MY LOCATION!! SO 2 WKS LATER SCOTT'S ASSOCIATE, JOHN BARTNICK, ARRIVES WITH THE TRAILERED EQUIP, SETS IT UP AND ITS RUNNING IN 1 DAY, CHECKS THE SYSTEM PERIODICALLY OVER A COUPLE MONTHS MAKING ADJUSTMENTS, ETC. AND BINGO, THE HULL IS DRY! I ENJOYED ANOTHER SEASON ON THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AND SOLD THE BOAT LAST SUMMER.

TIP: CHECK ALL THRU HULL FITTINGS WHETHER ITS A NEW OR USED BOAT, YOU MIGHT SAVE YOURSELF A TIDY SUM.
