We’ve got the original bedding which is on its last legs in our 1998 3100 Open with the split bed.  Any thoughts on a good replacement mattress and sheets based upon experience? Based in South Florida.

We bought one of the foam mattress toppers and cut to the right shape to go over existing mattress. Worked out great. Very comfy. As for sheets we just used King size and tuck it in. Not perfect but it works. I put all of the original stuff in storage bags to go with boat when we sell her.

I bought a 8" memory foam mattress from Walmart and took to it with an electric carving knife. King size sheets tucked in.

Thanks for the feedback, what size foam mattress did you purchase, and was one large enough to cut into the two separate pieces?

It was a bit of trial and error getting the right slope around the bottom. It makes a huge difference.
