Would like to upgrade to LED bulb, but can't seem to figure out how to remove fixture cover on this light in the head of my '95 3100 Open.  Tried turning knobs, pulling & twisting, but no go.  Anyone ever open this light?  Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the three thumb screws the lens just pops out you should see an indent on one side if you can’t use your fingernail use a small flat head screwdriver gently

If the thumb screws are false The entire ring should twist and will come off of the mounting bracket

Yeah, those were my thoughts as well. As the thumb screws are without any kind of slot or knurling, I didn't want to force it. Maybe one of those rubber jar lid openers would provide enough grip to break them free. Will try again tonight.

It looks like the one in my shower. The 3 thumb screws are threaded. Use the rubber lid opener and also push up on the chrome rung to release some pressure on the bolt.

Just came from the boat - a rubber band twisted up around each thumb screw provided enough grip to break them loose. Boy, those halogen bulbs get hot!
