We keep our Tiara on Lake Sakakawea and the marina slip collects a lot of silt and cottonwood debris around the dock and swim platform. I usually brush and skim by hand, but between trips the buildup gets ahead of me. I've been thinking about a cordless robotic cleaner to drop in the water near the boat rather than hauling out hoses and plugging into shore power.
I came across this iGarden K36 Robotic Pool Cleaner Review while comparing options. My main concern is whether a cordless unit has enough battery life and suction for silty lake water, and whether it would handle the odd twig or leaf without clogging. I'm also unsure how well these hold up to being stored on a boat in cold North Dakota weather.
If anyone here has used a cordless cleaner around their slip or dock, I'd appreciate hearing how it performed.
