I agree a spare set of props, although expensive, is a great idea when you do extensive cruising. I purchased a set quite a few years back and was lucky I had them after hitting something that required changing.. With the spare set it only took several hours before we were underway again.. Asked the marina how long we would have to wait for the props to be repaired if we didn't have the spare set.. To my surprise he said it could take several weeks as they would have to be shipped out for repair.. No local prop shop nearby.. New ones were also an issue and would take a week or so to get.. Either way our trip would have been over at that point. M2C.. BTW I purchased them from Tiara as they were discounting new/slightly used props that were no longer being used on current models....
