Here is an old quote from Lauderdale to Maryland for a 42' open. About 1,000 miles, just over ,$9k, and that was 5 years ago.

If you hire a captain, your looking at 10 days in the canal alone. Depending upon where in Michigan, it could take a while and that's once everything thaws out up there by Buffalo.

Maybe go-to uship and request a quote.
