Since the past owner didn't have a history on when the props were last removed and sent in to be reconditioned, I had deiced to have it done before launch, when I spoke to the prop place in (Henry Smith)Alogonac, Mi. They suggested using the Prop Eze removal tool. It seemed like a pretty simple tool to use but didn't have any luck. I have some questions below for anyone that have experience using a harmonic removal tool. Again the props look in good shape, and I do not think they have been removed in at least three years. This is my first Tiara and working on inboard style boats. I have done 99% of all my work on my previous I/O boats in the past ten years.
- How hard do you hit it?
- Tighten down and back off 1/4 of turn?
- Should I apply a little heat to the props?
- Any other advice before I try again on Saturday
