Had the same issue with a 2006 32 Open.   Shop worked on it several times including pulling it out of the boat and completely going through it.  Bench tested it and it ran perfect.  Put back in the boat and it would act up.  Turned out it was a bad fuel pump.  Spent over $5k figuring this one out.  Very frustrating!

Thanks for the reply, we have changed the fuel pump, actually several times.   FTR I think it is a heat issue with mine, I think I need a new heat exchanger.  Why do I think this?  I run it in the Ohio river.  Early in the season when the river is colder, I don't seem to have issues, as the river heats up over the summer, I start to have issues.  I think because early there is a bigger difference in water  temperature and air temp.
