Hello John,
I just purchased a 1995 Tiara 4000, so I have almost zero experience with this boat. However, I can tell you that looking at boats over the past several months, I was very impressed by Tiara. I did not know much about them when I started. Buying an older boat is not a problem (I've owned several, some very old) it all depends on the condition.
I am shipping the Tiara that I just purchased from Long Beach, CA to the San Francisco Bay Area, about 400 miles. This costs $4500. I got different quotes from various companies and the price was from over $12,000 to $4500.
PM if you want to talk more. Good luck.
Best regards,
Richard
