Hello Tiaraians !

New guy with an old boat but I love the way she rides. It's a '86 36 Open...oldie but a goodie. These boats are beasts on the sea ! 

My cockpit deck is soft in a few areas, I started a discussion on Facebook and learned quick that this is a popular subject. I bought this boat last Spring and previously owned a 33' Bertram that had the same problem. Once difference being that the Bertram deck was made to be pulled up and reinstalled.

So has anyone cut their deck out, recored and reinstalled ? How do you get the deck to sit at the same height and fastened to the surrounding area ?
