When I looked in 2007 for my 38 Open the vast majority were Cummins's 6c's (diamond 450 hp) plan A w/the "L shaped" seat on the port side and the rear facing seat also on the port side. On the starboard side is also a rear facing seat and the transom had the foldable stern seat.... Great boat
